Students entering grades 6 through 12 may apply. As an FWISD choice school, WLI accepts students from across the district, and seats are limited each year.

Joining World Languages Institute
WLI is a Fort Worth ISD choice school, open to students district-wide in grades 6–12. Applications are submitted through the district each year.
Application steps

Attend a tour or information night
Visit campus during the district's school-choice season to meet teachers, see classrooms and ask questions about the language sequences.

Submit the FWISD school-choice application
WLI enrollment runs through Fort Worth ISD's choice application. Applications open in the fall for the following school year.

Complete the student information requested
Be ready to provide recent report cards, attendance and any assessment information the district asks for as part of the application.

Receive your placement decision
The district notifies families of offers and waitlist status; families then confirm the seat to complete enrollment.

Enroll and register for courses
New students meet with counselors to choose a language and build a schedule before the first day of school.

Do I need to speak another language already?
No. Language courses begin at the introductory level, and beginners study alongside heritage speakers in appropriately placed classes.
Is there tuition?
No. WLI is a public school within Fort Worth Independent School District.
