Every WLI student studies a world language every year. Around that core sits a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum that grows with students from middle school through graduation.
Languages offered
French
A full sequence from beginner French through advanced study, with culture, literature and conversation woven into every level.
Mandarin Chinese
Character writing, tones and conversation from the first year forward, building toward advanced Chinese coursework.
Latin
Classical grammar, translation and Roman history that strengthen English vocabulary and analytical reading.
Middle school · grades 6–8

Graduate multilingual
Students who begin in 6th grade can complete seven consecutive years of language study. Many reach Advanced Placement level before their senior year and pursue a second language or the Texas Seal of Biliteracy before graduating.
